Hello faithful readers!
We are so very sorry for our absence this summer. We have been a very busy family! Between baseball season, family travels, and some various illnesses (boo strep!), we have unfortunately been neglecting our beloved blog.
That doesn’t mean, however, that we haven’t been continuing our work with the Mineral Maniacs. Quite the opposite, in fact! This summer, we have been busy reaching out to retail rock shops, working on our Spanish translation (scheduled to be released this November), and most importantly…writing BOOK TWO!
Ryan continues to promote the book with several members of the industry as well as teachers and educators interested in adding our book to their science curriculums. We have encountered so many people who have genuine excitement and enthusiasm for our work, and for that we couldn’t be more grateful.
As a result of that enthusiasm, our work has started to garner interest within the Mining and Engineering communities. Just recently, the Mineral Maniacs were featured the story Maniacs for Mining Education in Mines Magazine (alumni magazine for the Colorado School of Mines). Additionally, our book was featured in a musing by the extraordinary Mercenary Geologist, Mickey Fulp.
